WhatsApp for Zoho CRM, on the official Business API

Every WhatsApp conversation becomes a Zoho lead or contact — mapped to the fields your team actually uses, including your custom ones.

What syncs into Zoho

A customer messages your WhatsApp number, the chat lands in your shared inbox, and Zhat Convex writes it into Zoho CRM as a Lead or Contact— carrying the customer's name and number, the text of their first message, and the click-to-chat campaign that produced them.

Zoho's required fields, handled

Zoho rejects a Lead that lacks Last_Name or Company, and it answers with a 200 OK that hides a per-record error inside it — which is exactly how leads get silently lost by integrations that only check the HTTP status. Zhat Convex reads the per-record result, splits a single-word WhatsApp profile name into the fields Zoho demands, and supplies a sensible default company so a real lead is never dropped on a technicality.

Map any WhatsApp field to any Zoho field

The same canonical catalogue of 25 conversation fields that drives the Bitrix24 integration drives this one. Point each field wherever you want it in Zoho, custom fields included. Change CRM later and the mapping survives — it describes your business, not one vendor's schema.

Connecting it

  1. Create your Zhat Convex workspace and connect your WhatsApp number.
  2. Authorise Zoho from Settings → Integrations. Zhat Convex stores the refresh token encrypted, per workspace.
  3. Map your fields, or take the defaults.
  4. Send a test message and watch the lead appear in Zoho.
