Refund Policy

Last updated: 16 July 2026

This Refund Policy explains when payments made for the Zhat Convex platform, operated by Zhat Convex Technologies, are refundable and how to request a refund. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Payments are processed by Paddle

All payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd or Paddle.com Inc.), acting as our merchant of record. Paddle appears on your card or bank statement, issues your invoices and receipts, and executes any refund we approve back to your original payment method. Refunds approved under this policy are normally visible on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

2. Subscription fees (Starter, Pro, Business)

  • First purchase — 14-day money-back guarantee. If Zhat Convex is not right for you, tell us within 14 days of your first subscription payment and we will refund it in full. No questions, no forms beyond the request itself.
  • Renewals. Monthly renewals are refundable if you request the refund within 14 days of the renewal charge and the workspace has not made material use of the service in the new billing period (no outbound messages sent, no broadcasts run). Otherwise renewals are non-refundable — cancel instead, and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the admin console. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not by itself trigger a refund of the current period.

3. WhatsApp spend budget and top-ups

Your plan includes a monthly WhatsApp spend budget, and you can top it up. This budget covers per-message charges that Meta (WhatsApp) bills for delivered messages — money that leaves our hands the moment your messages are delivered.

  • Consumed budget is non-refundable. Once messages have been delivered and charged by Meta, that spend cannot be returned.
  • Unused top-ups are refundable on account closure. If you close your account with an unconsumed, separately-paid top-up balance, we will refund the unused portion on request.

4. AI Chatbot add-on

  • The monthly add-on fee follows the same rules as subscription fees (Section 2): 14-day refund on the first add-on charge, renewals refundable only if the add-on saw no material use (no AI replies generated) in the new period.
  • Overage charges are non-refundable — they are billed only after the included AI conversations have actually been consumed.

5. Statutory rights (EU, UK and elsewhere)

If you purchase as a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services, subject to the usual exception where you have consented to immediate performance. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer law of your country; where local law grants you more than this policy does, local law wins.

6. When we may refuse a refund

We may refuse requests that fall outside the windows above, and we may refuse or reverse refunds in cases of abuse — for example repeated purchase-refund cycles, accounts suspended for violating our Terms or the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, or fraudulent payment activity. Charging back a payment instead of contacting us may result in immediate account suspension while the dispute is resolved.

7. How to request a refund

Email hello@thecodegate.com from your account email with your Paddle receipt number (it is on the invoice Paddle emailed you), or open a ticket from Support inside the app. We respond to refund requests within 2 business days. You can also contact Paddle directly via paddle.net for payment-related queries.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. The policy in force at the time of your charge is the one that applies to it.
